Civic and Voter Engagement Programming

We are excited to expand our resources and partnerships to support athletes, coaches and administrators. As we continue to grow our civic engagement programs, we will utilize the platform of the athletic department to  provide nonpartisan resources, elevate voter registration, encourage voter participation, build bridges in the community, and support service work. More details to come over the summer!

Coaches are a critical part of creating systemic change in athletics.

All Vote No Play partnered with ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge, National Association of Basketball Coaches, and Women's Basketball Coaching Association to create a coaches pledge to support voting.

COACHES SIGNED A CIVIC ENGAGEMENT PLEDGE

Since 2020, nearly 2,000 coaches have signed a pledge to support voter engagement efforts with their student athletes.

ATHLETES HAVE BEEN IMPACTED BY THE PLEDGE

With an average of 20 athletes per team, 40,000 athletes have been impacted by the civic engagement pledge in the last two years.

Groundbreaking programming with athletic leaders.

We have created many opportunities for athletes to learn how to make an impact beyond their sport. Our fall 2022 event featured Stephen Curry, Dr. Condoleezza Rice, and Coach Tara VanDerveer in conversation with student athletes.

“Accomplishments on the court might make headlines. But first and foremost, coaches are committed to developing and educating student athletes. What better lesson can there be to teach our players than how to become engaged citizens”

Craig Robinson
