Pictured left is Josue Gil-Silva (Stanford Men's Basketball, Engaged Athlete Fellow to The Team) moderating a civic engagement panel of student athletes on AVNP Day 2023. Josue worked hard to organize this opportunity for student athletes in conjunction with Stanford University's "Democracy Day." In 2023, our Engaged Athlete Fellows put on over a dozen AVNP Day events on campuses across the country, each of which played an integral role in improving the link between college sports and civic engagement.
